The block walls above it are often short, and there is rarely a proper footing drain. We look for standing water and for where it comes in before anything is sprayed. Foam on the walls of a crawl space that floods every spring will not fail, but it will not fix the flooding either, and we would rather tell you that on the visit than after.
A crawl space with a full-height hatch and two feet of clearance is priced like a short basement. One with a hatch in a closet floor and fourteen inches of clearance takes longer per square foot, and the quote says so. Everything else follows the same rule as the rest of the house: closed cell at a stated thickness, the rim joist as its own line, the ground sheet and the vent closures listed, and the thermal barrier included or shown as excluded.
